Now that Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz has signed a lucrative new contract, look for the Hawkeyes to continue their impressive recruiting in Northeast Ohio - as well as nationally. (In recent months, top area recruits Derrick Smith, Arvell Nelson and Ricky Stanzi have signed with Iowa, joining former local stars Anton Narinskiy, Chris Rowell, Trey Stross and B.J Travers). Ferentz's new contract, negotiated by Beachwood-based agent Neil Cornrich, is the richest ever for a Big Ten football coach. The former Browns assistant will receive a $1.4 million signing bonus - Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel got $500,000 to sign his recent new deal.
